I started The Velvet Room and I really like it. My mom recommended it to me, because she read it when she was a kid, and she really liked it. It's about a girl named Robin who visits this room that's like her own secret place to escape. At the part I'm at, (which is the beginning) their car's wheel broke down, and Robin goes exploring. She has a lot of siblings. I really didn't like one of her sisters. She wore high heels and was all prissy.I also didn't like her really little sister who cried just for the sake of crying. If you haven't read it, I think you should, from what I've read so far.

I started (and finished) Bridge to Teribithia this week. Beware! The following contains spoilers! I felt really sad because Leslie died. Maybe Teribithia meant more than they thought it did, and she died because it was a sign of some sort of betrayal from Jesse. When Jesse got P.T. (the puppy) I felt really happy. The author described the dog so cute. It's so cool that Leslie just didn't really care about what everybody thought of her. It says in the story that she wore weird clothes and didn't care much about her appearance. It also shows the part where she mentioned not having a T.V. and she didn't really care. I also felt really sorry for Janice Avery. Usually bullies are bullies for a reason. For example; if they were bullied at home, they might do it to others at school. That's what I thought happened to her because it said her dad beats her. She didn't really have any friends. I really liked the book. I really recommend it.

I'm in the middle of Tuck Everlasting. I really like it. I 'm reading it for the second time, but I don't really remember it that well. It's about a girl who finds this spring and she meets a boy. He tells her not to drink the water. She finds out later that his family drank the water and they are going to live forever because of it. I really like it. I recommend it if you haven't read it already.

9/1
I'm re-reading Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl. I'm also re-reading the Harry Potter series for the 5th time. I'm on the 4th book. I'm also reading Black Beauty. All of the authors are great! They all have slightly different stiles but they are all good. Black Beauty is a classic, and I really like it. Have you read it? I'm at the part with the fire in the barn. It's kind of sad. I really like Harry Potter. If you haven't read it I think you should. The movies differ from the books in many ways. In Anne Frank I don't like the way she flirts with boys, I like the historical content of it a lot more.
