I started The Eyes of the Fishbowl. It's about this boy who is really poor, and has trouble paying for food sometimes. He stumbles across a department store that's really fancy and loves it. He visits it a lot, but then strange things started happening at the store. In the story it says that most of his friends are people who work at the store. I thought that was pretty sad. I mean, if all of your friends were always working, it would be hard to be with them, and you would miss some of your experiences as a child. I also didn't like how his dad let all of the payments for music lessons flop. I really like the book.

p.s. I commented on Hannah's blog.

  1. The Eyes of the fishbowl sounds really good! What other strange things started happening? And why do you find it sad that most of his friends work at the store? I mean at least he has friends! But i guess if you do think about it that his only friends work at a department store and they probably arent his age. This book sounds really good i cant wait to hear more!
